Aston Villa FC
Aston Villa, founded in 1874, are the fifth most decorated club in English football history boasting 19 major domestic club honours (so far!), including seven League championships and seven FA Cups.
Birchfield Harriers is the UK’s premier athletics club and has been represented at every summer Olympics bar one since 1908. The team is based at the Alexander Stadium to the north of Birmingham.
Birmingham & Solihull RFC
Birmingham & Solihull RFC’s first team – “the Bees” is in National League 3 Midlands. They formed in 1989 by a merger of the original Birmingham (founded 1911) and Solihull rugby clubs, which are over 60 years old.
Birmingham City FC
Expect ambitious, energetic football from Birmingham City FC if you call into the 30,000-seater St Andrew’s Stadium to see them play. They were founder members and first ever champions of the Football League 2nd Division.
Edgbaston Archery & Tennis
Edgbaston Archery & Tennis Society is the oldest lawn tennis club in the world. It was founded in 1860 and tennis was first played in 1873 shortly after the game was first played in nearby Ampton Rd, Edgbaston.

Edgbaston Cricket Ground is the home of Warwickshire County Cricket Club and Birmingham Bears. It has been transformed into one of the UK’s leading sporting venues, situated in Edgbaston and just a mile from Birmingham.

Edgbaston Croquet Club is the premier croquet venue in the West Midlands. The Club, near the Botanical Gardens, hosts national and international events and boasts current international players amongst its membership.

Edgbaston Golf Club is a long-established members’ club known through the Midlands and nationally for its HS Colt course, its historic Georgian clubhouse, and its unique setting in 144 acres of woodland a mile from the city.

West Bromwich Albion FC, nicknamed The Baggies, are a Premier League football club based in West Bromwich. The club was formed in 1878 and have played at their home ground, The Hawthorns, since 1900.

Worcester Warriors RFC is based at Sixways Stadium in Worcestershire. The team are an Aviva Premiership rugby team and are often nicknamed Warriors and are based south of Birmingham.
