The North East’s biggest musical festival Hardwick Live gears up for the 2019 event

Hardwick Live will return this summer for another weekend of sizzling music and entertainment.

The festival will take place over the weekend 17 and 18 August 2019 in the grounds of Hardwick Hall Hotel at Sedgefield, County Durham.

On Saturday, festival-goers can enjoy performances from The Zutons and headline act Manic Street Preachers

On Saturday, festival-goers can enjoy performances from headline act Manic Street Preachers, The Zutons, Stiff Little Fingers, Sister Sledge featuring Kathy Sledge and The Sherlocks.

Then on Sunday headliners James will entertain the crowd, along with Lisa Stansfield, Ziggy Marley, Billy Bragg and the Craig Charles Funk and Soul Club.

This year the festival will feature a dance arena, with world famous club brand Glitterbox taking over on Saturday with sets from top stars including Joey Negro and Horse Meat Disco, followed by North East brand Retro the next day, welcoming DJs such as Jeremy Healy and Brandon Block to the decks.

And topping the local DJ line-up over the weekend are Denney, Mark Jenkyns and Elliot Adamson – who have performed at venues around the world.

The festival, which last year saw Happy Mondays and Kaiser Chiefs lead the programme, is always hugely popular.

John Adamson, owner of Ramside Estates which runs Hardwick Live Festival, is delighted with the line-up.

“We are always looking for ways to top previous years and make the festival the highlight of the summer for everyone who attends” said John.

“Hardwick Live Festival is a fantastic weekend for the whole family and this year already promises to be one of our best yet”.

He added: “We welcome thousands of visitors over the two days who enjoyed fantastic live music along with a host of other entertainment, with everything from DJs to celebrity chefs. Now we want to build on this year’s success as we return for two days in 2019. It’s too early to give anything away yet as to who we’ll have performing, but music-lovers can rest assured we plan to pull out all the stops to provide a line up which won’t be beaten”.

Tickets will cost £55 for one day or £99 for both days and concessions are available for children and 13 to 17-year-olds. Camping and glamping options also will be available. For information see here.
