Cambridge University Library

Over 600 years ago, the Cambridge University Library started out as a few dozen volumes on a handful of subjects kept in wooden chests. Today it houses over eight million books, manuscripts and maps from around the globe. The works of Chaucer, Newton and Darwin sit alongside the archive of Margaret Drabble and copies of the Beano.

You are invited to discover these treasures through the changing exhibitions and events programme. The exhibitions and events are open to all.
