Fitzbillies is the city’s most historic restaurant, sensitively restored and updated, now serves dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings with a contemporary menu inspired by the seasons and ingredients from local, East Anglian producers.
Fitzbillies smoke their own salmon over Cambridgeshire apple wood. Their Porter’s Pie is made in a traditional Victorian ‘Little Champion’ pie press combining pastry made by the bakers with chunks of prime beef in insanely rich gravy. Desserts include all the favourites from the bakery.
By day Fitzbillies are open for breakfast, coffee, lunch, afternoon tea, brunch at weekends and of course their famous Chelsea Buns. A trip to Cambridge isn’t complete without a visit.
