Alwoodley Golf Club
Alwoodley is a natural heathland course, with springy fairways cutting through a profusion of heather, whins and shrubs. It features eye-catching and naturalistic-looking bunkers, strategic choices, and large greens.
Armley Tennis Club
Armley Tennis Club is a small and friendly club with good facilities, situated in Armley. Facilities include 4 outdoor courts and 1 indoor court for the winter months. The club is open all year round and always welcome new members.
Bramley Baths is a community-led, not-for-profit centre for fitness, health and fun, which houses a public gym, swimming pool, steam room and space for community events, meetings and fitness classes.
Based on a proven Dutch concept and located at Leeds Station, the UK’s first CyclePoint offers secure and fully staffed storage for over 300 bicycles. In addition, it offers maintenance and repair services on a daily basis.
Dalby Bike Barn
Dalby Forest is England’s largest Trail Centre and Dalby Bike Barn is the official operator for ‘The Great Yorkshire Forest’. The forest trails are colour coded with green, blue, red and black which gives something for all abilities.
Leeds United offers guided behind-the-scenes Elland Road stadium tours, which include visits to the dressing rooms, players tunnel, dugouts, and trophy room. The insightful tours last approximately 90 minutes.
Surrounded by 77 acres of private grounds Hazlewood Castle offers a whole host of exciting outdoor activities for adults and children. Activities include quad biking, archery, body zorbing, laser tag, bush craft and a bike trail.
Headingley Stadium is a sporting complex in the suburb of Headingley, to the north west of Leeds. It is the home of Yorkshire County Cricket Club, Leeds Rhinos rugby league team and Leeds Carnegie rugby union team.
Ilkley Pool and Lido
Open during the summer months, the lido remains a popular place to swim or just somewhere to enjoy the sunshine – weather permitting! However there is also a heated indoor pool which offers a warmer alternative.
John Charles Centre for Sport
Facilities include 68 station gym, 50m and 25m swimming pool, diving pool with diving boards, 8 rink indoor bowls hall, 50 metre 6 lane straight track, facilities for all jumping disciplines, throwing cage and javelin throwing area.
Those who enjoy dog-racing can get their sporting fix at the Kinsley Stadium, near Pontefract. The Stadium was voted “Best NGRC greyhound stadium in the north” by the British Greyhound Racing Board for 2008.
Kirkstall Leisure Centre
Kirkstall Leisure Centre offers a range of sports and leisure activities in Kirkstall. Facilities include a 25 metre pool and learner pool, a squash league, 4 squash courts and a 4 court sports hall. The centre also offers fitness classes.
Leeds Golf Centre
Leeds Golf Centre is one of The North’s premier golf complexes. Offering club subscriptions and ‘pay and play’ access in equal measures, visitors and new members are greeted warmly regardless of their experience or ability.

Moortown Golf Club was designed by the world famous golf course architect Dr Alister MacKenzie, who also designed Augusta National, Cypress Point, Royal Melbourne and many other championship courses throughout the world.
Roundhay Golf Club
Roundhay Golf Club is a delightful 9-hole golf course suitable for all playing standards. For over 90 years, players of all ages and handicaps have enjoyed the challenge of this welcoming municipal course.
One of the most celebrated venues in Leeds is Roundhay Park. It is one of the biggest city parks in Europe, with more than 700 acres of parkland, lakes, woodland and gardens. The park also boasts its Lakeside Cafe.
The Leeds Wall
The Leeds Wall is the modern training facility for climbers of all abilities, from those trying the sport for the first time right through to the best in the world! It has been designed and built to the highest standards by skilled local experts.
Xscape at Castleford has artificial ski slopes, climbing walls and an entertainment complex with bowling, swimming, a gym, cinema, shops and bars. The scale of the centre is huge, it’s the size of six football pitches.
