Adventure Northumberland provides the widest choice of outdoor adventure activities in Northumberland both land and water based. Based in Alnwick, they are ideally placed between the stunning Northumberland coast.
Adventure Sunderland is Sunderlands’ activity centre overlooking Roker beach. The marine centre offers a wide range of watersport activities such as surfing and kayaking to both organised groups and individuals alike.
Based at Slaley Hall Hotel, Allout Adventures have use of over 1000 acres of countryside for the exhilarating outdoor activities. Activities include clay pigeon shooting, quad biking, archery, seaways, paintball and much more!
Boards and Bikes
Boards and Bikes is a unique mobile adventure service, they bring the fun to you, delivering the bikes, wetsuits, boards and all of the equipment you need to have a good time. It is based in north Northumberland.
Bywell Shooting Ground
Bywell is one of a handful of clay shooting grounds to be awarded Premier Plus status by the Clay Pigeon Shooting Association which is the sport’s governing body. It’s a family run business to the north of Newcastle-Gateshead.

Durham County Cricket Club
Durham County Cricket Club was established on 23rd May 1882 and Emirates Durham International Cricket Ground is the world class sporting venue in which they practice and play matches.
Go Ape! Matfen Hall

The Eagles are the most successful club in British Basketball history, with a trophy haul of 22 in the past 10 Years. Since 2010, the Eagles have played all home games at the 3,000 capacity Sport Central arena at Northumbria University.
Until 1990 this team were known as Gosforth FC and began to play at Kingston Park after the name change. Newcastle Falcons are the most successful club in northern England, winning one Premiership and four domestic cups.
Make time for a day at the races and visit Newcastle Racecourse for the unbeatable spectacle of premier horse racing. There are more than 29 race meetings throughout the year spanning the Flat and National Hunt seasons.
Newcastle United FC
Supporters of Newcastle United FC are passionate about their team. The 52,000 seat stadium (St James’) is packed for home matches and the roar of ‘the Toon Army’ after a home goal echoes across the city.

St James’ Park Stadium Tour
Supporters will be taken to the highest point of the stadium where they will have a Magpie’s view of St James’ Park. The tour also includes a visit to the home dressing room, media suite and the dugouts, in addition to many other areas.
Sunderland AFC was founded in 1879 by James Allan. The club plays home games at the Sunderland Stadium of Light, which was opened in 1997. The club were FA Cup Winners in 1937 and 1973.
The massive 23-metre Sunderland Wall offers over 900m2 of climbing and bouldering. The centre offers a range of courses for both adults and children, and cater for everything from birthday parties to corporate events.
The Cycle Hub
Find the Cycle Hub on Newcastle Quayside. It’s a great place for a pre-cycling caffeine kick or the perfect post-pedalling pit stop, or a venue where you can drop by to get your bike serviced or give it a tweak.
The Diving Centre
The Diving Centre is a PADI 5 star IDC centre who offer a range of courses from beginner up to instructor, they have some of the best training facilities in the country with an on-site heated swimming pool.
Wet ’n’ Wild
There’s nothing quite like a Wet ‘n’ Wild day out! The north east’s largest waterpark boasts 10 exciting thrill rides as well as newly improved Discovery Island play area for under 5s. Shop and cafe are available.
Visit Whickham Thorns Activity Park for rock climbing, skiing, archery and mountain biking. The Activity Centre offer courses of instruction throughout the year, and it’s a great way to meet new people and learn a new skill.
Whitley Bay Snooker Centre
Whitley Bay Snooker Centre offers something for absolutely everyone. It’s the professional snooker and pool place to be! It’s the centre with 6 Riley Aristocrat tables, one 3/4 table and three world class star tables.
