One of Northampton’s largest and most versatile sports venues can be found in Kettering. Arena Sports hosts all kinds of events as well as offering visitors the opportunity to make use of the facilities for themselves.
Club Wake Park
Club Wake Park is situated on a 240m lake surrounded by trees, making it the ideal sheltered location for wakeboarding and wakeskating. The park runs a WakeStation, a straight-line cable system that tows the rider.
Delapre Golf Centre
Delapre Golf Centre attracts all types of golfers from complete beginners to the experts of all ages. Discover the club’s Oaks course, a beautiful 18-hole course set in 260 acres of park land. Find it just south of Northampton.
Kingsthorpe Golf Club
Although not a long course, the traditional parkland layout of Kingsthorpe has manicured fairways and arguably the finest greens in the county, which are maintained to the highest standards all year round.
Nene Whitewater Centre
The Nene Whitewater Centre was the UK’s first pumped, artificial whitewater course. Three pumps control the flow of water down the 300-metre whitewater course allowing the centre to alter the course’s difficulty.
Northampton Golf Club
Situated on the outskirts of Northampton in the picturesque village of Harlestone, Northampton Golf Club boasts a magnificent 18-hole championship course along with an equally stunning clubhouse to cater for all your needs.
At Northampton Saints home game at Franklin’s Gardens makes for an exciting afternoon. The 15,250 capacity stadium located in Saint James is often full to the brim with devoted fans and a buzzing atmosphere.
Northampton Town FC
Northampton Town FC play their home games at the 7,798 capacity all-seater Sixfields Stadium, having moved in 1994 from the County Ground which they shared with the owners, Northamptonshire County Cricket Club.
Northamptonshire County Cricket Club
Northamptonshire County Cricket Club plays the majority of its games at the County Cricket Ground in Northampton. Its limited overs team is called the Northants Steelbacks – a reference to the Northamptonshire Regiment.
Nestling in the rolling Northamptonshire countryside, Pitsford Water is an ideal venue for walking, cycling, fishing, sailing and birdwatching. The seven-mile waterside track is suitable for people of all abilities.
The Pinnacle Climbing Centre
Offering not only a great selection of routes on 60 lines ranging from beginner friendly F2 to pro-challenging F8a+, The Pinnacle Climbing Centre also houses a dedicated bouldering room with problems graded V0 to V8+.
