5 to try – Suffolk shops

Suffolk offers fantastic shopping opportunities and here’s some of the best places to shop. One of the county’s most treasured places to shop has got to be Snape Maltings. The elegant buildings in which the retail outlets are housed date all the way back to the 19th century. Eclectic furniture and homeware can be found in House & Garden, unique clothing pieces in Samphire, and quirky kids’ bits in Little Rascals. Meanwhile, up the B1125 at Southwold, you will find a plethora of independent retailers along its pretty High Street and down its lanes – assuming you can tear yourself away from the glorious beach, that is! Denny of Southwold, established in 1861, sells contemporary and traditional jewellery. Another Southwold independent, Tilley and Grace, is a favourite with locals and visitors.
