A family business is making waves with their original jewellery designs that capture the pure essence of Cornwall and the stunning natural beauty of the coast.

The company specialises in designing and creating unique pieces of beautifully-crafted, contemporary, sterling silver jewellery, under the brands Silver Origins and Celtic Lands, which they sell through their Silver Origins jewellery boutiques, based in St Ives and Marazion.

The start of something unique

Its own origins began 60 years ago, when Tony Price – a commercial diver for crayfish and sea urchins, living in West Cornwall –created a new business which evolved into design-led jewellery collections.

His son, Marcus – a keen surfer and free diver – joined the company in the 1990s, and took it in a new direction.

Inspired by Cornwall’s rugged shoreline, beachcombing, waves, and its rich sea life, he began designing unique silver jewellery collections with a more organic, coastal feel, reflecting the surroundings and its unique Celtic heritage.

The result was exclusive jewellery collections whose signature design featured textured surfaces, gold vermeil details, and semi-precious gemstones such as Blue Topaz, Turquoise and Lapis Lazuli to enhance each piece and reflect the look and feel of life living by the sea in Cornwall.

Marcus says: “Our philosophy for originality in design was born out of a passion for Cornwall and travels afar, providing all the inspiration for design ideas.”

Most sought after collections include the Beachcomber, featuring shells cast in silver; Ocean Wave; Rockpool; Reflections; and Organics; as well as fun, whimsical designs inspired by nature and romance.

Botanical and wildlife designs are influenced by Cornwall’s hidden sub–tropical gardens, buzzing bees, elegant dragonflies, and unique animals that inhabit our shores.

Spoiled for choice

The range has continued to grow, with original and exciting collections launching throughout the year, so there is always something new and different for customers to see when they visit, or shop online.

Everything is designed in-house by Marcus, and handcrafted by highly-skilled silversmiths. Quality remains paramount as well as excellent customer service.

Nothing beats the creation of hand-made jewellery, and seeing the finished item all the way through from its initial sketch and conception, to being worn and treasured.
